About this role

Position Summary The Afterschool Snack Program Coordinator is responsible for the distribution and service of nutritious snacks to high school students. Essential Functions & Responsibilities The essential functions or responsibilities listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position Under the direction of the Department of Food and Nutrition Services, assists by the program by:

• Picking up snacks from the Somerville High School kitchen

• Serving snacks to students

• Tallying the total amount of snacks distributed to students each day

• At the end of the month provide the SHS kitchen with the snack menu containing the total number of snacks distributed

• Able to organize, manage, coordinate, implement and oversee snack program

• Able to maintain records

• Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive reports

• Excise sound and independent judgement within general policy guidelines

• Establish and maintain working relationships with other staff

Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities, & Skills

• High School diploma

• Knowledge of Food Safety preferred

• Mobility: Frequent walking, standing, and navigating stairs.

• Stationary Tasks: Remaining in a stationary position (sitting/standing) for long periods.
