About this role

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• Paraprofessional training preferred

• Experience in school setting preferred

• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both orally and through written expression

• Must complete required health examinations and immunizations

• Must pass required criminal history background check

• Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident status

• Possess basic technological skills as required by position

Job Goals:

• Follows all IEP modifications as directed by the teacher

• Demonstrates ability to support a safe, healthy, and effective learning environment

• Prepares and organizes materials to support teaching and learning

• Establishes rapport and maintains respectful relationships with students

• Demonstrates ability to support individual student behavior plans

• Demonstrates ability to communicate with and respond to students' families as appropriate

• Demonstrates ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues

• Provides toileting assistance as required per student IEP

• Presents a professional appearance

• Maintains regular attendance so as to ensure continuity of instruction and/or operation of school district

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or his/her designees
