Hartley Elementary School is seeking a 7 hour per day Special Education Behavior Interventionist. Interested individuals should possess a desire to work with students needing additional support and instruction with positive prosocial skills and learning behaviors. The Special Education Behavior Interventionist provides assistance to staff to address and maintain appropriate student behavior in all environments of the school community. A strong candidate for this position would have the ability to develop and foster strong relationships with students and staff, along with effective communication and decision making skills in a culturally rich school community. Data collection and organization are key functions of this position. A willingness to learn, collaborate with team members, and prioritize/multitask are essential skills needed for this position. Training for specific systems of support, intervention programs, and restorative practices will be provided. All activities will be performed under the direction and supervision of the building administrator and/or special education teacher(s).
