Summary Description Provide support for the classroom teacher and building as outlined in the Work-Based Learning training plan.
Qualifications
• Current High School Student
• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Basic reading, writing, and computation skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment.
• Responsibility and integrity with dealing with personal information.
• This must fit into their schedule.
• Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher at the homeschool.
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist with monitoring student safety in the lab.
• Assist the teacher in demonstrating proper tool usage.
• Assist the teacher with lab equipment demonstrations.
• Aide students in the location of tools and equipment as needed
• Aide students with any assigned tasks as needed.
Placements The Auto Technician student assistant will be placed at Dowell J Howard Center. Pay Rate The rates for FY26: 1st year - $15.00 2nd year - $15.25 3rd year - $15.50
