Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field. • Five years of full-time, progressively responsible and effective leadership experience in financial services, payroll, or procurement. • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered. • Experience and proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. • Experience working in a K-12 school district or other governmental organization. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to financial reporting, payroll processing, and procurement. • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, finance or management principles, practices and procedures. • Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved. • Ability to think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure. • Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with a diverse group of faculty, administration, students, and the community. • Ability to analyze and solve problems, draw valid conclusions, and/or develop appropriate alternative where applicable. • Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others. • Ability to establish goals and objectives. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Oversee financial, payroll, and procurement operations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with the District’s strategic goals. • Ensure accurate accounting of all District expenditures, revenue, and tangible property. • Assist with the preparation and submission of financial reports, including the Annual Financial Report. • Assist with payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees. • Coordinate procurement processes, including competitive solicitations, contract negotiations, vendor management, and purchasing compliance. • Standardize and continuously improve financial, payroll, and procurement policies and procedures. • Provide training and support to school principals, bookkeepers, and department staff on financial and fiscal matters. • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility. • Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating as needed for corrective action. • Lead and attend meetings to communicate information, advise leadership, and present recommendations. • Manage project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
