Lakeside High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business Teacher to join our high school faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing students for college, careers, and entrepreneurship through engaging, real-world business instruction. This position includes teaching a variety of business-related courses such as marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, personal finance, and business law. Salary ranges from $53,060 to $76,273 for a 190-day contract, based on experience and the 2026-2027 salary schedule (days to be prorated based on hire date). A complete certified teacher's pay scale is available on our school website. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in business and CTE courses.
• Develop and implement curriculum that incorporates project-based learning and real-world applications.
• Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and postsecondary success.
• Utilize technology and business software to enhance classroom instruction.
• Foster career exploration and workplace readiness skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leadership, and community partners to support student learning.
• Maintain accurate records, assess student progress, and communicate regularly with families.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required CTE licensure.
Qualifications: Required:
• Valid Arkansas teaching license with a CTE Business Education endorsement or eligibility to obtain one.
• Knowledge of current business practices, career pathways, and workforce trends.
• Commitment to student success, equity, and innovation in education.
Preferred:
• Industry experience in business, marketing, accounting, or finance.
• Experience leading or advising student organizations such as FBLA or DECA.
• Familiarity with dual credit, work-based learning, or entrepreneurial programs.
