Job Description: Cafeteria Operator Substitute
Department: Child Nutrition
Location: All Schools
Position: Substitute
Reports to: Cafeteria Manager
Description of Position:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with cold and hot food preparation including cooking, steaming, and baking
• Assist with food service to students, staff, faculty, parents, and guests
• Cleaning, mopping sanitation, and trash removal of the kitchen and dining room
• All other duties as assigned by your cafeteria manager or assistant manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pass a criminal background check
• Must be physically fit and able to stand for 4 continuous hours
Preferred Skills
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Experience in school food service
• Job may require the lifting of up to 40 pounds and working in temperatures as low as zero degrees.
