About this role

Brunswick's Special Education Department is excited to advertise for the position of a .5 occupational therapist. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, creative individual to join our current team of OTs to provide occupational therapy services to special education students in grades PreK-12, as appropriate. For the 26/27 school year Brunswick is looking forward to assuming responsibility for students with a disability that are school age four. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation, an independent work ethic, an ability to build positive relationships with families, and a willingness to collaborate with special educators, regular educators, service providers, and administrators as appropriate. Applications will be reviewed through 7/28/26. If the position is not filled, it will be reposted and will remain open until a qualified applicant is found. Successful candidates will be able to:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their individual educational plans;

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for the purpose of determining eligibility for occupational therapy services;

• Participate in any Department screening processes as appropriate;

• Collaborate with special and regular educators in the development, implementation, and coordination of services;

• Provide professional development in area of expertise to Department employees as requested by the Director of Special Education;

• Complete special education documentation in accordance with Department expectations, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Maine State Occupational Therapist License

• Valid Maine Criminal History Records Check
