Kate Furbish Elementary School is a large, nature-based and nurturing learning community- serving students from PreK through Grade 2 in Brunswick, Maine. Our staff is passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to creating an inclusive and joyful classroom experience. We proudly implement the Maine Department of Education's For ME program in all of our classrooms, which provides playful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences designed to support whole-child growth. Kate Furbish Elelmentary School is looking for long-term floating substitute teachers to provide consistent coverage at our incredible PreK to Grade 2 school each day when students are present for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. Our floating substitue teachers get to work in the many different classrooms at our school. Candidates should be enthusiatic about working with a wide array of students. Desired candidates will:
• Have experience working with young children
• Respond collaboratively and flexibly to changing student and school needs
• Use a collaborative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other related tasks and assume other duties as the Principal may assign from time to time
