• Successful experience working with students with disabilities

• Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff, and the business community.

• Provides support for students in employability skills at the high school level and vocational related remediation, as appropriate.

• Matches students with potential job site.

• Assists in determining and providing for any necessary work site modifications which enhance student performance.

• Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.

• Assists with student's mobility around the classroom, school, and work areas.

• Keeps accurate records of student activities, attendance, and punctuality in the assigned job program and prepares regular reports as directed by the teacher.

• Communicates with supervising staff, other professional personnel, employers, and parents to assist with evaluating student progress and/or implementing objectives.

• Keeps the teacher informed of any problems that occur in the workplace and related activities.

• Documents on-site visits and contacts with students, employers, and/or parents.

• Assists students, parents, and employers in completing required agreements and forms.

• Gathers and provides feedback to students regarding job performance.

• Completes student job performance checklists and transmits them to the appropriate teacher.

• Attends scheduled meetings as necessary, including ESE training and program meetings.

• Provides training and guidance for staff, parents, and employers as directed.

• Performs assigned duties related to student safety on campus (i.e. bus duty, parent pickup, walkway safety, playground, lunchroom duty, field trips).

• Performs other duties related to the job goal of the position.
