Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma, HiSET, or G.E.D

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Effective written and oral communication.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.??

• Maintain confidentiality.

• Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.

• Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees.

JOB SUMMARY: The Attendance Clerk keeps records of attendance, including daily attendance, total enrollment, drops, and transfers. The essential functions as shown below represent only the key areas of responsibility; specific position requirements will vary depending on the needs of the District.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reviews incoming calls and emails with attendance updates; records daily absences, tardies, and suspensions in the Student Information System (SIS).

• Runs daily attendance reports and distributes as necessary.

• Checks in with students entering and exiting the building; issue passes, collect notes, enter information in the SIS and ensure students sign in.

• Assist with clerical tasks as needed, such as answering phones, making copies, and greeting guests.

• Creates and issues suspension letters.

• Track home school activities for students. Research activities as necessary.

• Communicate with Central Campus and transportation regarding bus assignments or delays.

• Creates locker assignments

• Supervises student workers.

• Other duties, as assigned.
