***GRANBURY ISD requires three references from former employers, college professors, supervisors, etc. with at least a minimum of two references being from previous supervisors. Granbury ISD will not accept references from friends or family members.*** DUTY DAYS: 187 Primary Purpose: Manage services and provide support for special populations students enrolled in career and technical education (CTE) programs. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid SBEC teacher certification required Valid SBEC CTE teacher certificate, preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of college, career and military readiness standards. Knowledge of Perkins V indicators measures. Knowledge of laws, rules, and procedures related to placement of special population students: Special Education, 504, English learners (EL's), non-traditional, economically disadvantaged, educationally disadvantaged and other special-population students. Experience: A minimum of three years of experience as a classroom teacher in a related area. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Review CTE performance data to identify programs that need improvement to assist special populations' students to meet or exceed Federal/State Perkins indicators and college, career and military readiness performance measures. (5%)
• Develop strategies to improve supplementary services for members of special populations enrolled in CTE programs. (5%)
• Identify students within special populations each semester and provide CTE teachers with supplemental supports to ensure students are on track to meet career readiness measures. (5%)
• Participate in Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) meetings for students enrolled in CTE courses in the development and implementation of IEP objectives as related to career readiness. (75%)
• Collect, analyze, and use student achievement data to make recommendations for continuous improvement in career and technical education programs. (5%)
• Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. (5%)
• Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. (2%)
• Other duties as assigned. (3%)
