Title: Navajo Language/Culture - Teacher Employment Terms: Ten (10) Months Salary Classification: Teacher Salary's Schedule General Statement of Responsibilities: To help students become aware of the Navajo Culture and to develop students' proficiency in the Navajo Language. Principal Duties:
• Works with students to help develop student's skill in the Navajo Language, (reading, writing, and conversation).
• Works with students and helps them develop cultural
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times
• Plans a program of study that; as much as possible, meets the individual needs, and interests of the Student is
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the

• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and to communicate these objectives to the students.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups
• Strives to implement by instruction and actions, the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals and

Qualifications:
• EDUCATION: Bachelor's or Master Degree in Education.
• EXPERIENCE: Successful student teaching experience
Supervision: Supervised by principal. Use own initiative and judgment. Must have experience in directing implementation of Traditional Culture programs/activities. Responsibility: Oversee Navajo Language and Traditional facilities. Offer mentoring sessions to support the student's success. And also coordinate with the school principals, counselors, and teachers. Navajo Language are well being of the students, staff, and the community. License: Valid Driver's License.
