Primary Responsibilities Teach courses within the Agriculture Power, Structural & Technical Systems Pathway. Provide instruction in: SMAW (Stick) Welding GMAW (MIG) Welding GTAW (TIG) Welding Oxy-Fuel Cutting Plasma Cutting Metal Fabrication Agricultural Construction Blueprint Reading Shop Safety & OSHA Standards Tool Identification & Equipment Use Maintain a safe, organized, and industry-standard welding laboratory. Prepare students for industry-recognized certifications. Integrate project-based, hands-on learning into daily instruction. Supervise and advise an active FFA chapter, including CDEs, LDEs, SAEs, and community service projects. Develop partnerships with local businesses and industries to expand internship and work-based learning opportunities. Maintain required CTE documentation, student records, and equipment inventory. Participate in professional development and remain current with industry standards and instructional best practices. Preferred Qualifications Valid Arkansas Agriculture Education teaching license or ability to obtain licensure. Strong background in welding, fabrication, agricultural mechanics, construction, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience operating welding equipment and shop machinery. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industry best practices. Passion for hands-on, project-based instruction. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Experience with or willingness to advise FFA. Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and community partners.
