• Position Title: Virtual Academy Coordinator K-8
Term: August 2026 – June 2027 Position Summary The Virtual Academy Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of virtual learning opportunities for students in grades 9–12. This position supports students enrolled in full-time virtual, hybrid, and credit recovery programs by managing enrollment processes, monitoring progress and attendance, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and serving as the primary liaison between the school district and the virtual learning provider. The coordinator ensures that students are supported academically and organizationally to successfully meet graduation requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in required software and platform training related to the district's virtual learning programs.
• Coordinate registration and enrollment for students participating in:
o Full-time virtual instruction o Hybrid learning models o Credit recovery programs
• Facilitate Back to School Night and Family/Student onboarding
• Monitor student course progress, attendance, and engagement within the virtual learning platform.
• Communicate regularly with students regarding expectations, progress, attendance, and course completion.
• Provide timely communication to parents/guardians regarding student progress, attendance concerns, and program requirements.
• Collaborate with school counselors, case managers, and administrators to support student academic planning, credit attainment, and intervention needs.
• Order student required student supplies and texts
• Serve as the primary liaison between the school district and the virtual learning provider, ensuring alignment with district expectations and student needs.
• Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, progress, and communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful implementation of virtual learning programs.
Qualifications
• Pennsylvania teaching certification
• Experience with virtual or blended learning environments strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and online instructional platforms.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, school staff, and external providers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
