Exceptional Children (EC) Instructional Assistant – First Flight High School First Flight High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Exceptional Children (EC) Instructional Assistant to support students with diverse learning needs in a secondary school setting. The EC Instructional Assistant works collaboratively with EC teachers and general education staff to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support that promotes student success and independence. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the direction of EC teachers
• Provide one-on-one and small group instructional support across content areas
• Support students in developing organizational, academic, and life skills
• Assist with behavior management and reinforce positive interventions
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
• Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
