LOCATION: Communications / Muscogee County Public Education Center REPORTS TO: Director of Communications

Primary Function: The job of Digital Marketing Content Creator is done for the purpose/s of providing key support to the Director of Communication at Muscogee County School District, enhancing the district's digital engagement and brand visibility. This position is responsible for developing, curating, and publishing compelling digital content across MCSD's official platforms to inform, inspire, and connect internal and external stakeholders—including students, parents, staff, and the broader community. The Digital Marketing Content Creator will uphold and reflect the district's commitment to transparency, educational excellence, and community engagement by producing high-quality multimedia content aligned with the district's strategic communications priorities. Working under the direction of the Director of Communications, this role will help tell the district's story through creative visuals, video, photography, and messaging that celebrate student and staff achievements, support timely public information campaigns, and amplify the district's mission of equipping all students to succeed. REQUIREMENTS:

1. Educational Level: Bachelors degree or working on a degree in job-related area with an emphasis in Bachelors degree or certification in a job-related area. Film and Production experience preferred.

2. Equivalency: Bachelors Degree in Digital Content Creation, Web and Digital Design, Film or Audio Production, Digital Media, Digital Marketing Design. Two years successful professional experience developing, managing, and executing strategic digital content/project management for an organization involving marketing campaigns, storytelling, and social media engagement.

3. Experience: Job related experience within a specialized field is required in Job related experience within a specialized field is required.

4. Physical Activities: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 60% sitting, 15% walking, 25% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: None. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: excellent written and oral communication skills; proven best practices for digital content and planning, organizational project management, design and layout, branding, multi-media best practices for internal and external communications. ABILITY is required to schedule a significant number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a number of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to independently work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of widely varied types and/or purposes; and utilize job-related equipment. Independent problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Researching, filming and editing content (videos, images, social media posts) tailored for platforms MCSDs social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

• Software or application knowledge and experience in Envato, Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, etc.

• Knowledgeable in Canva and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator

• Developing and maintaining content calendars to align with marketing goals, product launches, and brand campaigns.

• Managing in-house studio. Coordinating schedules and producing content.

• Incorporating search engine optimization (SEO) best practices into written and video content to increase visibility and drive organic traffic.

• Posting content, managing social media channels, and engaging with followers to build a loyal community.

• Monitoring content performance (views, engagement, conversion rates) using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and adapting strategies based on data.

• Ensuring all content maintains a consistent brand voice, style, and quality.

• Working with cross-functional teams, including other divisions/department, to develop campaigns.

• Staying up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, social media trends, and algorithm changes.

• Collaborate with the Communications Marketing Specialist on publishing and distributing content across various online platforms, such as social media, websites, and video platforms.

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.

• Develop, implement and execute special projects as assigned by the Director of Communications.

• Ensure content is polished and visually appealing, using editing tools and software.

• Implement digital content strategies that align with the district strategic priorities.

• Interact with followers and subscribers to foster engagement and building a loyal audience.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned by the Director of Communications, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient, effective functioning of the work unit.

• Provide digital content creation for all internal and external public engagement events (e.g., includes some morning, evening and weekend activities/meetings, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the Office of Communications.
