POSITION TITLE: TEACHER ASSISTANT - ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STARTING DATE: Fall 2026 SALARY: Per Tonawanda Education Association Contract Must hold current, valid NYS certification as Teacher Assistant or other content area and fingerprint clearance. Duties as assigned under direct supervision of principal and Assistant Superintendent of Pupil. Duties include: Support classroom teachers to allow for student success. Proctor and help conduct examinations Manage records, materials and equipment Supervise students in remedial work as directed by classroom teacher Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings when required May include individual student supervision as required by IEP's Promote student positive interactions and involvement within the classroom Other duties as assigned Candidates should scan letter of interest, resume, college placement folder (if available), or three (3) letters of reference and evidence of valid NYS certification.
