Primary Purpose The RTI Aide supports student achievement by providing targeted academic interventions to students in grades K–5 who are performing below grade level expectations. Under the supervision of certified teachers and campus administration, the RTI Aide delivers small group and individual instructional support, collects progress monitoring data, and contributes to a multi-tiered support system aligned with the district's RTI framework. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Must meet ESSA Highly Qualified Paraprofessional requirements: • Associate's degree • 48 college credit hours Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working with elementary-age children is preferred. Experience supporting students in academic or instructional settings. Preferred experience working with diverse student populations, including English learners and economically disadvantaged students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students using research-based instructional strategies under teacher supervision.

• Assist teachers with planning and organizing academic interventions aligned to RTI goals and student needs.

• Support students in core academic areas, including reading and mathematics.

• Collect and maintain accurate RTI documentation including progress monitoring data, universal screening results, and student observation notes.

• Collaborate with teachers and campus intervention teams to identify appropriate tiered supports and placement.

• Supervise students during classroom transitions, team planning periods, and in intervention settings.

• Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional materials and assessments.

• Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and instructional adjustments.

• Participate in campus- and district-level RTI training and professional development.

• Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment for all students.

• Enter data into student progress monitoring systems and assist in compiling reports for RTI team meetings.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the campus RTI process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of:

• Elementary-level reading and math strategies

• Child development and learning theory

• Intervention frameworks and data-based decision-making

Skills in:

• Oral and written communication

• Data collection and documentation

• Using educational technology (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite)

• Building positive relationships with students and staff

Ability to:

• Follow instructional plans and adapt to student needs

• Manage time and schedules in a fast-paced school environment

• Work effectively under supervision and collaboratively with educators

• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
