Applications are invited for resident fixed term Clinical Fellow in Nephrology within Cardiff and Vale Health Board which is fixed term for 6 months from 05 August 2026.

This post is not recognised for training.

The ward-based aspect of the post involves being an active member of a multi- disciplinary team. The post offers the unique opportunity to gain experience across Renal Medicine.

The clinical fellow will work closely with all services within the department to ensure continuity of care and development of treatment pathways.

This post has proven highly successful for previous post holders as a step towards their future applications for specialist training. Clinical fellows are encouraged to get involved in research as well as audit projects to present at monthly neurosurgical Quality and Safety meetings

Main duties of the job

The post will be general clinical duties within the Renal Medicine ward areas support Multi Disciplinary Team.

Effective and demonstrable communication skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues Up to date with current medical practices Ability to take appropriate clinical decisions when necessary Evidence of effective team and multidisciplinary working

Qualifications Essential

MBBS or Equivalent Full GMC registration with license to practice
