Job summary
NL&SC SPCMHT covers a vast footprint including Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre, Lancaster and South Cumbria. We are seeking applications from confident and enthusiastic professionals who hold RMN/Social Work/OT registrations and are passionate about working in a perinatal service. Post holders will act as a key member of the integrated multi-disciplinary team and have responsibility for the delivery of high quality care. The role includes active caseload management and engaging in the screening and assessment of service users, in line with the band 5 grading.
Main duties of the job
We welcome applications from both male and female applicants and although advantageous, there is no requirement to have previous perinatal experience, as training will be provided. As a team and service, we support flexible working and offer fantastic training and development opportunities!

Qualifications Essential
Registered Mental Health Nurse Social Worker professional qualification and registration with appropriate professional body Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
Knowledge Essential
An understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (revised 2007) An understanding of the Children's act 1989 Able to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding children and how to manage this within a specialist mental health setting
Experience Essential
Completed the preceptorship process in respect of own practice
Skills Essential
Able to demonstrate and understand the concept of community care and the need to develop good networks. Can demonstrate communication skills through practice and experience Ability to maintain own performance and participation in group skills Demonstrates an ability to motivate self and others
