The role of the Housekeeper is to work within the trust facilities Management structure to ensure that the housekeeping service supports clinical colleagues. Key areras of responsibilty ; to ensure the envitoment is cleaned to national standards. Deliver meal/beverages service, Bed making, cleaning medical/hard equipment. Mange linen quality and reort Maintenance issues.
Main duties of the job
Critical to the success of the role shall be the provision of a service that is safe, efficent and which delivers a quality enviroment in a timely manner that promotes the health and well-being of the service users and which is in line with the Dept. of Health, CQC, PLACE & NHS standards including the Hygiene Code & new goverment standards relating to food, hydration and better hospital foof etc, throughout the whole organisation. The Housekeeper will enhance the patient's experince by ensuring that the clinical enviroment is presented and maintained in away which maximises the patient's sense of comfort, safety, and well-being.

Job description Job responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and delivery of the housekeeping/catering srevices
Responsible for undertaking scheduled cleaning taskes, including the cleaning of clinical equipment, as scheduled.
Responsible for upholding all infection prvention and control measures as required within the trust.
Responsible for ensuring that all domestic consumables are available at all times in the appropriate dispenser/holder.
Responsible for undertaking ad hoc cleaning tasks as required by the senior site supervisor.

Interveiw Essential
Must hold Basic food Hygiene Qualification Good Basic Education - Ability to reda and write, numerical skills NVQ 2 BICS in Domsetic srevices
Desirable
Must ahve experince of working in a Mental Health/Learning Disabilties service. Must have excellent knowlende of Food Hygiene incl temperature control and HACCP. Must be a good communicator, to mix with a variety of people. Must be able to follow clear instructions.
