Main duties of the job
Responsible for maintaining office and patient areas to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying bins, disinfecting washrooms, restocking supplies, and changing linen in consultation rooms. The role also involves carrying out deep cleans when required, maintaining cleaning equipment, monitoring stock levels, reporting any issues or breakages, storing equipment safely, and following all Health & Safety, COSHH, and cleaning procedures.

We are one of the largest training practices in Devon, most of the partners are GP trainers, involved in the education of student nurses, medical students, and a variety of doctor training posts. Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain office facilities to a high standard. Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, empty bins and dispose of waste. Clean, disinfect and restock washrooms with toiletries and paper products. Change linen in patient consultation rooms. Deep clean office and patient areas as required. Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is in good working order. Monitor cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing. Report any breakages or maintenance issues. Store cleaning tools and equipment safely and neatly. Follow all Health & Safety, COSHH and cleaning procedures.Confidentiality

Experience Essential
Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and safe use of cleaning products. Ability to carry out general cleaning duties to a high standard. Familiarity with cleaning equipment and maintaining supplies. Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures. Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules effectively.

Reliable, punctual and trustworthy with a strong work ethic. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Able to work independently and manage time effectively. Professional, respectful and able to maintain confidentiality, mainly when working in patient areas. Flexible and willing to carry out a range of cleaning duties as required.
Qualifications Essential
At least 1 year of professional cleaning experience. Previous cleaning experience in an office, healthcare, commercial, or similar environment is desirable. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products and safe handling of chemicals (COSHH) is preferred. Health & Safety awareness and understanding of workplace hygiene standards.

Training in cleaning, infection control, or similar areas would be an advantage
