Job summary
As a Salaried GP at Urban Village Medical Practice, you will provide high quality, patient centred primary medical care to a diverse population of approximately 14,000 patients, including those experiencing significant health inequalities and homelessness. You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.

Main duties of the job
Provide high quality, evidence based medical care through face to face, telephone and digital consultations. Assess, diagnose, investigate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in line with current clinical guidance. Prescribe safely and cost effectively, ensuring appropriate medicines management and monitoring. Review pathology results, hospital correspondence, clinical documents and medication requests, taking timely and appropriate action. Make referrals to secondary care and community services, ensuring patients receive coordinated and timely care. Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and legally compliant clinical records using EMIS Web. Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, pharmacists, physician associates, GP assistants and other practice staff. Participate in safeguarding, significant event reviews, clinical audit, quality improvement and practice meetings. Contribute to the achievement of contractual requirements, including QOF, enhanced services and local commissioning initiatives. Participate in the practice duty doctor rota and support the management of urgent clinical demand. Support the education and supervision of learners and colleagues where appropriate. Maintain professional registrationContribute positively to the culture, values and continuous improvement of Urban Village Medical Practice.
