Main duties of the job We are seeking a reliable and passionate individual for the role of kitchen assistant/laundry assistant. This permanent position offers a salary of £12.72 per hour. The role involves working 30 hours per week, following a shift pattern over a two-week cycle covering both kitchen and laundry duties. You will be supporting the chef in creating nutritious meals, maintaining hygiene standards in line with COSHH regulations, and working both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential. As part of Agincare, you will also benefit from a refer a friend scheme, career development opportunities, and a company pension scheme. A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant

Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Previous experience in a kitchen setting and some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH are essential.
