Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: First level supervisor who serves as the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator acting as the primary point of contact for sexual assault and sexual harassment matters. Reports to the Supervisory SARC and provides first-level supervision to civilian Victim Advocate.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirements Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized experience listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing professional advocacy and crisis intervention services for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault; managing sexual harassment/sexual assault cases from initial report through disposition and resolution to ensure regulatory compliance and the health and well-being of victims; maintaining case documentation and data quality in official reporting systems to ensure coordinated care and compliance; and assisting in training and outreach activities to promote awareness, prevention, and understanding of reporting procedures. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Major DutiesManages victim assistance and advocacy activities performed by military and civilian Victim Advocates.Assists the Lead SARC in ensuring 24/7 availability of sexual harassment and sexual assault victim advocacy services for all covered persons.Acts as the primary point of contact to coordinate sexual harassment and sexual assault response services for all reports made at the installation, regardless of unit or service affiliation.Develops and maintains ongoing working relationships with available military and civilian resources to aid the process of providing a warm handoff virtually or in-person to other resources, as applicable.Ensures reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault are entered and maintained in the appropriate system of record to ensure coordinated care.Serves as a SHARP subject matter expert on interdisciplinary meetings and initiatives on the installation and in the community as assigned by the Lead SARC (Supervisory SARC Principal).Supervises and evaluates the activities carried out by Victim Advocates, complementing the role of the Lead SARC.Plans and assigns work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priority cases, requirements of the assignment, individual capabilities, and resources available.Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, the requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
