Job SummaryThis is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as Supervisory Housing Manager of the Housing Division within the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), USAG Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing housing programs with responsibilities of on-site management, project management, facilities administration, and/or program execution; 2) Maintaining a variety of data and statistics to support recurring financial reporting requirements; AND 3) Identifying operational or financial problems to develop solutions to improve project performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Major DutiesDirect the formulation of housing improvement plans within the framework of generally established objectives, policies, and standards.Execute activities which support program management and housing policy developmentProvide oversight for major construction and execution of the Community Development Management Plan (CDMP).Develop scopes of work, coordinate with: Contract Officers, Organization and/or the Contract Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for a Centralized Barracks management (CBM) Program.Provide instruction and guidance on changes in housing regulations, policies, procedures, and determine priorities.Make recommendations to resolve problems and correct deficiencies, or clarify policy.
