Job SummaryYou will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Facilities Management and Engineering Division, Infrastructure Safety and Business Operations Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Performing routine facility maintenance, operations, and repair tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and basic electrical or HVAC troubleshooting; 2) Conducting routine facility inspections to identify necessary repairs, health, and safety issues, while maintaining accurate maintenance logs; 3) Identifying and analyzing facility requirements to develop plans for space allocation, modification, replacement, or new construction in support of organizational missions; and 4) Preparing basic work requests, serving as a project technical liaison, and coordinating service actions with external providers to ensure the successful execution of facility sustainment and improvement programs. Major DutiesYou will perform routine facility maintenance, operations, and repairs across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, basic electrical, and HVAC systems.You will conduct regular facility inspections to identify repair needs, health hazards, and safety issues while maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records.You will analyze organizational space and facility requirements to develop comprehensive plans for building modifications, resource allocations, and new construction.You will serve as a technical point of contact and liaison to coordinate day-to-day facility operations, sustainment projects, and modernization efforts with external service providers.You will assist end users by preparing technical work requests, developing documentation for service actions, and participating on project review boards to ensure program requirements are met.
