Job SummaryThis position is located at the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Office. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possess eighteen (18) months work experience in human resources office demonstrating knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing & Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations or Training. Experience analyzing, evaluating, recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated HR problems/issues. Possess experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Applicants will possess twenty-four (24) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and have completed training in Basic Staffing, Customer service, Organizational structure, Basic Writing, Time Management, Personnel Management, Leadership, Critical Thinking, Accountability and Effective Communication Skills.
Major DutiesPlans work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priorities.Provides guidance, advice and assistance to managers, employees, and candidates for employment on a full range of services such as NAF human resources policies, administrative regulations, employee rights and services.Gives advice, counsel, instruction and training to subordinates on administrative and technical matters pertaining to NAF human resources administration.Audits subordinate work and existing records to ensure compliance with Army regulation and identifies developmental and training needs of subordinates, providing for and arranging for needed development and training.
