Job Description: 1. Laboratory Operations
• Prepare, mix, and test formulations of rodenticides (e.g. warfarin, brodifacoum) used in the factory.
• Conduct physical checks (weight, shape, hardness, moisture) of rat baits (cube, sphere, etc.) as per standard procedures.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, equipment calibration, and inventory of raw materials and chemicals.
• Perform sample testing of incoming raw materials and finished goods using HPLC.
• Record and maintain lab testing data accurately and promptly.
2. Quality Control (QC)
• Conduct QC inspections on finished rat bait products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Perform quality checks on agricultural tools such as:
• Harvesting Poles
• Legume Cover Crops (LCC)
• Gold / ULP / Silver Poles
• Rodenticide repacking/storage
• Report defects or deviations from standards and assist in investigation or corrective actions.
• Support ISO/quality audits and documentation.
3. Stored Product Pest Monitoring
• Carry out routine monitoring for stored grain pests such as Tribolium castaneum (red flour beetle) within bait storage.
• Record and report findings to mitigate infestation risks in stored rat baits.
• Assist in fumigation, pest-proofing, and bait rotation activities.
4. Field and Special Projects Support
• Support field data collection during product trials or application tests (e.g. Herbicides trials, bait acceptance trials).
• Assist in sample dispatching for laboratory analysis and external testing (if required).
• Participate in special R&D or process improvement projects.
5. Safety & Compliance
• Adhere strictly to safety, PPE, and chemical handling protocols.
• Ensure compliance with relevant company SOPs, regulatory, and licensing requirements.
Job Requirements
• SPM/STPM/Diploma in Agriculture, Science, or related field.
• Training in lab practices or QA/QC procedures is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of chemical handling, weighing, and testing.
• Attention to detail and good record-keeping habits.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Familiarity with pest monitoring and agrochemical products is a plus.
