Costing Engineer
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Support seasonal style-level cost benchmarking and highlight key cost gaps for team review and follow-up.
• Assist in developing should-cost standards for key cost components using fact-based costing methodologies.
• Identify and track cost improvement opportunities through product engineering, process efficiency, and material utilization analysis.
• Prepare recurring cost analyses and reports to support cost governance and management review routines.
• Support macro cost trend tracking, forecasting inputs, and reconciliation against actual performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to collect cost data, validate assumptions, and maintain costing tools and databases.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS
Internal Contacts: TH Global Supply teams and relevant cross-functional business partners, as needed. External Contacts: Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and vendors.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Indirect: Contributes to cross-functional projects and team initiatives, as assigned.
DECISION MAKING
• Makes routine analytical judgments within established costing frameworks and escalates exceptions or higher-impact decisions to the manager.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY
• Demonstrates curiosity and initiative in learning industry trends, manufacturing methods, and key cost drivers affecting product cost.
• Applies structured problem-solving to support practical, data-based costing solutions.
ENVIRONMENT
• Primarily based in the Vietnam office.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project involvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Typically, 2–4 years of relevant experience in apparel manufacturing, industrial engineering, product costing, or supply chain analytics.
• Hands-on experience with work measurement techniques in the apparel industry expected; GSD licensed practitioners will have a strong advantage.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, or continuous improvement tools is an advantage.
• Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment is preferred.

• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data analysis and reporting tools required. Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity and data analysis tools is an advantage.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work constructively with internal and external partners.
