Describe the role WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Take lead on developing, designing and calculating optimized Seismic bracing solutions for our customers per their specifications. • Managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment in a self-directed manner. • Effectively communicate the Seismic bracing requirements to customers and the solutions that are provided. • Promote nVent Engineering Services offerings by developing relationships with the business development team, sales and end customers. • Improve process tools and efficiency on a continuous basis to improve the customer’s experience. • Work to grow Engineering Services as a key function for the corporation to increase revenue. • Expand knowledge into other Engineering Service functions, such as, Rooftop Bracing, Datacom cable management and others.

YOU HAVE:

• Academic background in Engineering – Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering • Previous experience in or with: • ASCE 7 and regional Indian codes and requirements. • Commercial Construction industry specifically MEP and Fire Protection or Datacom systems • 5+ years’ experience in calculating seismic bracing (preferred)

• Skills • Solid knowledge of engineering principles, specifically static loading • Strong skills working in various CAD systems (SolidWorks & AutoCAD Inventor) • Knowledge of Bluebeam and BIM is preferred. • Willingness to engage with new customers and develop relationships • Excellent in-person and virtual communication skills • Ability to work independently and is driven to solve complex problems • Functional knowledge of VBA or other coding language (preferred) • Interested in working towards a PE certification • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment focused on meeting deadlines
