• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary The Welder is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and joining metal components using a variety of welding processes in accordance with company standards, engineering specifications, and safety requirements. This position produces high-quality products in a timely manner while following established procedures, quality standards, and continuous improvement practices.
Essential Responsibilities
• Weld, fabricate, and repair metal components according to blueprints, standard operating procedures (SOPs), operating method sheets (OMSs), and applicable AWS standards.
• Perform welding using GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Arc Stud Welding, and Resistance Welding processes.
• Cut, shape, and prepare materials using oxy-acetylene equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, cutting discs, and other fabrication tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Operate fabrication and material-handling equipment, including shears, chop saws, cranes, die grinders, notchers, drill presses, band saws, forklifts, grinders, and ironworkers, as required.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Successfully complete required welding qualification or certification tests, as applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read measuring devices and accurately perform measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic welding and fabrication issues.

• Reliable, dependable, and accountable in performing assigned responsibilities.
• Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
Qualifications
Required
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication tools, equipment, and processes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to pass a welding qualification test.
• Minimum of three (3) years of welding, fabrication, construction, or related manufacturing experience.
Preferred
• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical school, trade school, or vocational training in welding or a related field.
• Current AWS welding certification.
• Experience in a mixed-model manufacturing environment utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to use hands and arms for welding, material handling, and operation of tools and equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmets, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators (when required), and protective clothing.
Work Environment Work is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to noise, heat, dust, welding fumes, moving machinery, and other industrial conditions. Employees are required to follow all safety policies and procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
