Job Summary
Delivers Nursing Care by developing a nursing diagnosis; establishing nursing care objectives; defining nursing interventions; providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends to understand patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills; noting changing conditions and needs; re-evaluating care objectives. This position is in the ED.
Job Duties include:
• Provides for safety in the coordination and delivery of care. • Consistently communicates with patients by listening attentively and providing feedback to ensure that all needs are met in a timely manner. • Assess and reassesses patients' status, initiating and resolving patient goals.
Education and Requirements:
• ASN required. BSN preferred • A minimum of one year experience in a clinical environment, ICU or ED preferred • New York State Nursing License. • BLS, PALS, ACLS and Infection Control Certification required • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills • Bilingual preferred • EPIC experience a plus
