Job Summary: The Millwork Assembly Crew will assemble millwork products including doors and molding.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Follows detailed instructions to construct and build both stock and special order doors, including millwork trim for customers. • Gathers and arranges necessary parts for products together in specified relationship to each other as instructed. • Bolts, clips, screws, rivets, compounds, trims, saws, or otherwise fastens required parts together. • Works on an assembly line where tasks and job duties may vary as different product lines are produced. • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area. • Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work well in a team. • Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn production equipment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of, and ability to abide by, applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. • The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions. • Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Education/Experience
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. • General carpentry and millwork knowledge preferred. • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements
• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping. • Visual acuity is needed to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products produced. • The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods. • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
