Role Title: Paralegal Location: Melbourne, Victoria (ANZ for internal associates) Hours: Permanent, Full time Segment / Business Unit: Pet Nutrition / ANZ / DAPAC Reporting to: Associate General Counsel – ANZ & East Asia About the role Are you a proactive, highly organized legal professional ready to grow your career? We are seeking a Paralegal to provide vital administrative, legal, and operational support to our busy DAPAC Petcare Legal Team. In this role, you will act as a key coordinator, driving functional excellence, supporting contract workflows, managing legal processes and assisting lawyers with a broad range of commercial and legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a high-performing in-house legal team while gaining exposure to a diverse range of legal, compliance and business matters across the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
• Contract & Legal Support: Draft and review basic commercial agreements (NDAs, supply/sales contracts) and marketing materials under lawyer supervision. • Legal Operations & Finance: Coordinate outside counsel billing, manage legal invoices, track budgets, and maintain matter-tracking systems. • Compliance & Risk Management: Assist with ethics and compliance training logs and coordinate risk assessment processes (PRIMP/BRA). • Digital & Tech Adoption: Support and promote the use of legal technology and AI productivity tools (such as Microsoft Copilot) to improve workflow efficiency. • Knowledge Management: Maintain self-service resources, templates, and reference materials on the internal Legal Hub. • Stakeholder Support: Conduct legal research and serve as a reliable, collaborative point of contact for routine business inquiries.
What You'll Bring We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and project management skills, excellent attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset and the confidence to work independently with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Proven experience in a paralegal, legal specialist, or legal support role. Experience in a law firm, multinational corporation, FMCG, or highly regulated environment is highly regarded. • High proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and an eagerness to learn and adopt new digital tools. • Exceptional attention to detail and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential and privileged information with absolute discretion. • Bachelor’s degree in related field
