About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Wrigley segment, where we keep chocolate flowing and create daily moments of joy. Role Title: Electrical Technician Location: Asquith, Sydney NSW Hours: Day Shift (6am-6pm) Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
This 12 hour day shift role working a rotating roster will see you working closely with operators, fitters, and mechanics, you will be responsible for the entire site's electrical needs which will Include installations, breakdown / planned maintenance, minor programming tasks and fault finding to name a few! This really is a great role for someone who has a few years under their belt and would be looking to join a highly collaborative and engaged team.
Shift pattern:
• 12-hour day shifts only.
• The Pattern: 6 days on, 7 days off (rotating roster).
• Your Workdays: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... then 3 days off... then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
What you’ll do:
• Electrical Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems to AS/NZ standard
• Perform breakdown maintenance to machinery, plant, and equipment and ensuring work is completed in a manner to always promote the highest possible uptime
• Identify root causes and carry out continuous improvements to site safety, product quality and operational efficiency
• Prepare and support factory start up and shutdowns
• Ensuring all lines are fully operational and any potential fault is immediately addressed with a sense of urgency
Your unique ingredients:
• Understands the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations.
• Ability to work well within a team and build relationships as you will be working across the whole MW site
• Electrical license is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
• Identify root causes and carry out continuous improvements to site safety, product quality and operational efficiency.
• Experience in programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB Robots) would be advantageous.
• Previous electrical experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food production or similar) would be beneficial.
