About this role

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, Breffni Air has an exciting opportunity for a reliable and enthusiastic Health and Safety Officer with a proven track record in mechanical projects based in Europe mainly Finland. You will join our experienced teams working on Mechanical installation projects across Leinster, with a key focus on HVAC installations. This is an excellent opportunity for career driven individuals to grow and develop within a fast growing and ambitious company. The Role: - Responsible for the management of key site in Finland which will require some flexibility in working environment and site location. - Working as an HS Officer your main focus is to ensure full compliance on site. - Develop safety documentation in conjunction with the assistance of Site Supervisors/ Site Agents/Project Managers in creating safety plans, RAMS, permits, site audits, training, SPAs, and plant certification. - Ensure the delivery of Health and Safety inductions for all new employees or contractors working on site. - Advise and assist the Site/Project Management team in drafting and communicating method statements for high-risk activities. - Assist in incident/accident investigation reporting and filing. - Compile and communicate site emergency plans in conjunction with the site management team. - Inform and assist site management on the preparation of the safety file for handover to the client at the end of the project. - Advise on personal protection equipment required and manage the Toolbox Schedule for the project including attendance records. - Furnish safety reports to head office as required and serve as company representative at site meetings when requested. - Comply with other reasonable request from senior management on matters of safety not to the detriment of the core duties. Role Requirements: - Relevant Safety Qualification, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent with minimum to NVQ 6 in Occupational H&S. - 4+ years experience in a construction safety role, knowledge of Mechanical preferable. - Computer Literate proficient in the Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. - Capable of working on their own Initiative. - Knowledge of Health and Safety systems and procedures. - Excellent Communication skills. - Disciplined and organised to manage daily H&S documentation requirements.
