Our client, an international company located in the Ghent region, is looking for a Sourcing Analyst to expand the Procurement Team. Jobomschrijving As a Sourcing Analyst you will be responsible for following domains: Category Management Address all areas of category management including category business plans, global market and pricing analysis, and procurement support. Contribute to the development of the company's strategic category objectives and goals. Assist in the development of global category strategies with defined plans for cost savings, risk assessment and mitigation, and service level agreements. Support the CM in developing and executing category negotiation strategies with suppliers, including specific targets for pricing, service, quality, intellectual property, tool ownership, exclusivity, and inventory. Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned commodities through external research, benchmarking, and analysis of cost drivers and life cycle costs. Provide market intelligence and category price trends. Sourcing Management Utilise the strategic sourcing process to manage assigned commodities and finished products across multiple locations and subsidiaries Identify all stakeholders for each major category and form cross-functional teams to define and implement strategies that reduce cost, improve quality, and strengthen the competitive position Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and market trends to prioritise and launch sourcing initiatives within designated categories Analyse current spend and evaluate current suppliers; consolidate spend across multiple manufacturing locations to create leverage Identify new high-potential suppliers You work together with your (international) procurement team and will report to the Sourcing Manager. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum proven first solid professional experience in (strategic) sourcing, category management, or an equivalent procurement function Experience in a multinational or European industrial environment is a strong asset Demonstrated knowledge of strategic sourcing tools and processes in a global, multi-site manufacturing context Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities using contemporary tools and methods (Excel, ERP/procurement systems, spend analytics platforms) Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate complex topics clearly at all organisational levels Proficiency in English is required Willingness to travel
