About this role

For our client we are looking for an experienced E&I Designer Carry out electrical and instrumentation design and drafting work to supplement the overall electrical/instrumentation engineering design within the E&I Project Team Carry out assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, IEC and Client Standards Carry out site surveys within switch-rooms/substations/instrument buildings and process units Compile survey packs and plan effective surveys • Prepare Survey reports and report progress Liaise with the Electrical and I&A Engineers regarding the interpretation of Specifications and Standards Production of design drawings / documents including but not limited to: Instrument List, Loop Diagrams, Block cable diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Wiring schematics, Cable and tray routing layouts, Lighting Calculations, Lighting Layouts and Diagrams, Grounding Layouts, Cable schedules, Panel layout drawings and Bills of materials, hook-ups and wiring with SPI and AVEVA Instrumentation 3D Modeling of electrical equipment/systems Reviewing drawings for accuracy, compatibility, consistency, and for compliance with design criteria and overall project requirements Assisting discipline Engineers by attending meetings and design reviews Coordinate/review electrical and instrumentation design activities executed by remote engineering centers Interpreting vendor’s documentation and data in order to incorporate into design packages Participating in proposal activities, producing preliminary designs and assisting with man hour and bulk material estimates Raising requisitions for bulk materials and performing relevant technical evaluation of bids Participate in key customer meetings Ability to plan and control project activities in accordance with a multidiscipline schedule Proven experience using Microstation V8i, AutoCAD, MS word, MS excel, MS access Proven experience using 3D modelling tools such as PDS, SP3D, E3D Experience using lighting level calculation tools such as Dialux Ability to read and understand, Mechanical GA's, Piping drawings and Civil drawings Good working knowledge of ATEX and principles of electrical material / installation in hazardous areas Good English (spoken & written), Dutch language is a plus An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required
