*ABOUT US*
Huntsville Riverside Childcare (HRC) is aims to bring quality care to the families in Huntsville area. We are eager to be a positive impact in the community and are looking for team members who share our love for early learning and child development.
*RESPONSIBILITES*
* Ensure all programs provide quality care, service and support to children and their families. * Complete required documentation of children?s development and interactions. * Communicate affectively with parents about their child and the program * Comply with all municipal, provincial, and HRC policies. * Plan and implement a consistent child-focused program in accordance with the professional learning resources provided by the Ministry of Education. * Attends all relevant professional development opportunities necessary for the position. * Participate and apply knowledge through research to children's learning. * Identify the indicators of abuse and be prepared to report signs of child abuse to the Child Protection Services. * Adhere to work schedule to ensure program stays within ratio. * Demonstrates appropriate behaviours and dress that aligns with our values. * Efficiently work as a team with staff, placement students and volunteers.
*QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRMENTS*
Must Have:
* Early Childhood Educator Diploma. * Must be registered and a member in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE). * Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold. * Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification (or willing to obtain). * Vulnerable sector check (or willing to obtain). * Up-to-Date Immunizations. * Legally entitled to work in Canada. * Able to use medium physical effort throughout the day; outdoor play, bending, crouching, lifting children, etc.
Additional Assets:
* Excellent written communication skills. * Experience working with young children aged 1-4. * Experience in a daycare or school setting. * Food Handler?s Certificate.
