*Duties*
* Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. * Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently. * Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families. * Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication regimens as necessary. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care in acute care settings. * Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. * Stay updated on medical terminology, drug interactions, and best practices in pharmacy. * Participate in pediatric care initiatives, ensuring the safe administration of medications for younger patients.
*Qualifications*
* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution. * Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. * Strong knowledge of medical terminology and acute care practices. * Experience in medication administration and patient care within a hospital environment is preferred. * Familiarity with pediatric pharmacotherapy is a plus. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in medication dispensing.
