About this role

*Duties*

* Create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications * · Utilize specialized software such as Revit, SysQue & AutoCAD to develop accurate and precise drawings * · Incorporate design changes and modifications as directed by project managers * · Prepare and update schematics, layouts, and blueprints for construction projects * · Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafted designs * · Review and analyze project specifications to identify potential design issues or conflicts * · Collaborate with other drafters and team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in drawings * · Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation

*Qualifications*

* Diploma or certificate in *Architectural, Mechanical, Civil, or Engineering Drafting Technology*, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Minimum *2 years of drafting experience*, preferably in the mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or construction industry. * Proficiency in *AutoCAD*, *Revit*, and *SysQue*. Experience with other CAD/BIM software is considered an asset. * Strong understanding of *2D and 3D drafting*, BIM workflows, and construction documentation. * Knowledge of drafting standards, engineering drawing conventions, symbols, and applicable building codes. * Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and engineering drawings and specifications. * Familiarity with mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, hydronics, and piping layouts, is preferred. * Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality technical drawings. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify design conflicts and recommend practical solutions. * Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with engineers, project managers, field personnel, and other team members. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams). * Knowledge of Manitoba Building Code, National Plumbing Code, National Building Code, and applicable industry standards is considered an asset.

*Compensation*

* Offers a competitive compensation package based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SysQue, and knowledge of mechanical systems. Salary will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
