We are committed to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a *detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant* to join our Finance team.
*Position Overview:*
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the *General Accountant* will be responsible for *Accounts Receivable, Epicor-CMS ERP transactions, reconciliations, and general accounting functions*. The successful candidate will be organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Daily/Weekly Activities:*
* Update cashbook and post banking transactions in Epicor-CMS ERP * Run weekly Aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables * Post journal entries into Epicor-CMS ERP * Review AP cheque-runs and wire payments for accuracy * Prepare timely and accurate bank and GL account reconciliations * Post AR invoices and customer payments in Epicor-CMS ERP * Assist the Controller with account analysis and ad-hoc queries. * Month-End Activities * Prepare and post month-end journal entries in a timely manner * Reconcile intercompany accounts accurately * Prepare accruals and prepayment schedules and post related entries * Assist the Controller with financial statement preparation and analysis
*Qualifications & Skills*
* Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience * Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Experience with Epicor-CMS ERP * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail * Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Education: * AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience: * Accounting: 4 years (required) * ERP systems: 4 years (required) * Microsoft Excel: 4 years (preferred) * AP cheque-runs : 3 years (preferred) * Epicor-CMS ERP: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification: * Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)
