*Drake Excavating (2016) Ltd.* is a civil general contracting company operating throughout British Columbia, primarily in the Lower Mainland. We specialize in public municipal infrastructure projects, delivering both civil and mechanical solutions with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. We are currently seeking an experienced *Heavy Equipment* *Operator* to join our team.
*Skills / Qualifications and Requirements*
* Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators of various sizes on utility installation projects * Minimum 3 years of experience running excavators, backhoe, log loaders, dozers, skidders * Clean and valid drivers license and be able to get to and from the job sites * Experience with storm, sanitary, water, communications, and hydro installations * Experience with logging * Maintain equipment (Pre-trip inspections, grease, and clean cab daily) * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Experience working on active roadways * Experience working around live utilities * Willingness to work as part of a team * Safety conscious * Ground disturbance knowledge * Operate and control the equipment safely in changing ground conditions * Advise operations of any issues with equipment * Respect equipment and attachments * Must be willing to work overtime * Must be able to work out of town as need (Whistler, Squamish, areas of the island, Okanagan)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
