About this role
We are seeking a professional and organized Food Service Supervisor to join our team in Windsor, Canada. In this role, you will work with the team to oversee daily food service operations, lead and motivate a team of food service staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for inventory, scheduling, training, and maintaining compliance with local food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.Supervise and coordinate food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance managementEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, sanitary work environmentEnsure all sales are properly processed.Ensure all goods brought to site are accounted for and to procurement standards.Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standardsManage inventory levels, ordering, and food cost control to optimize profitabilityOperate and troubleshoot Point of Sale (POS) systems and related technologyAddress customer concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathyCommunicate expectations, updates, and operational proceduresMaintain detailed records of sales, inventory, staff hours, and daily operationsMaintain daily records for Health and Safety and Food complianceEnforce health and safety protocols across all food service areasCollaborate with management to develop and improve operational procedures and efficiencyTrain new staff members on food handling, customer service, and company policiesMonitor and control food waste and implement cost-saving initiativesQualificationsProven experience supervising food service operations or similar team leadership roleStrong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable in CanadaProficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to motivate and develop team membersStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentProblem-solving and conflict resolution capabilitiesExperience with inventory management and food cost controlCustomer service excellence and ability to handle difficult situations professionallyFlexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as neededFood Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certificationProficiency in basic math and ability to manage budgetsAdditional InformationSodexo is committed to Employment Equity and Diversity.
