About this role

Job summary

The Bank Staff will assist in the timely, efficient and cost-effective management and operation of all aspects of the CT services at the King's Denmark Hill site.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team including radiologists, cardiologists, nurses and administrative staff, they will support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and contribute to the day-to-day running of all three modalities.

The Bank Staff will be an experienced radiographer who is able to autonomously assess, manage and prioritise workload across CT environments, consulting senior staff as and when necessary, and will be accountable for their own professional actions.

They will demonstrate competence in line with departmental standards and will take responsibility for maintaining their own professional development with appropriate support and access to learning opportunities.

Person Specification

Essentital Essential

BSc Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent) Current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration Experience in supervision and training of less experienced radiographers, students and departmental staff in a specialised modality Understanding of clinical governance and adverse incident reporting Able to operate manual handling aids as provided by the department including patient slide boards, sheets, hoists and trolleys Post graduate qualification in CT, Interventional Radiology, Cath Labs, Leadership and Management, or Teaching (or working towards) Experience in advanced imaging techniques in at least one modality, e.g. cardiac CT, CT virtual colonoscopy, cone-beam CT
