Job summary

This rewarding opportunity has opened up for a kind, aspirational and collaborative nurse to join the Imperial Private Healthcare Team. Imperial Private Healthcare are responsible for providing evidence based care to our private patients, across three main sites at Imperial College Healthcare Trust.

You'll be part of an expert multidisciplinary team providing excellent clinical care to patients with complex surgical procedures, oncological cases and discharge requirements, and you'll also provide acute medical interventions to patients with a wide range of conditions.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that iscompassionate and caring. To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without direct supervision. To assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team. To deputise for the Nurse in charge when required. Assisting in the teaching and development of nursing assistants and students, helping them to achieve their learning outcomes.

Person Specification

Education/ qualifications Essential

NMC Registered Nurse

Desirable

12 months experience in healthcare

Skills/knowledge/ abilities Essential

Medication administration skills, including IV drug administration (or a willingness to undergo training) A knowledge of care planning, preceptorship, reflection and clinical supervision

Desirable

The ability to teach students

Experience Essential

Experience in nursing healthcare environment

Desirable

Experience with surgical cases (neurosurgery, ENT, urology, general surgery) & oncology cases.
