About this role
What you'll do:
• Record work orders, mileage, PM services, etc
• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Ensure truck is properly loaded and load secured; truck is in operational condition and supplies/equipment are delivered without any damage
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations
• Rely on instructions and pre‐established guidelines and procedures to perform the functions of the job
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
• Keep shop and Haul Trucks clean and uncluttered
• Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience
• Must have an up-to-date Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A
• Equipment loading experience required
• Acceptable MVR and previous employment history
• Must be insurable under the company motor vehicle insurance polic
• Dedication to safety and accident prevention
• Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
• Attention to detail with strong organization skills
• Operate with a high degree of independence
• High School diploma or GED preferred
Working Conditions: • Hourly Full- time position; • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
*Hard hats, ear protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes required when on shop floor.
