Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver (12hr shifts rotating days and nights) £31400per annum Department: Packaging Reports to: Packaging Supervisor
Overall Role Purpose The purpose of the role is to operate a forklift truck to transport items as instructed by the Packaging Supervisor. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Use warehouse management system to scan items as necessary • Operate forklift truck to transport items, including filling and emptying racks, transporting packaging to the lines, loading the flake trailer • Maintain the cleanliness of the working area. • Complete a thorough handover at the end of each shift to counterpart on following shift • Ensure work is compliant with relevant health and safety, environmental and GMP practice • Able to operate a counterbalance FLT, Reach FLT and RPPT truck • Assist the Flake department with Packaging as required • Help in loading the lorry for the finished Flake product • Assist the logistics department when required (loading/unloading deliveries/batter) • BBS (Behavioural Based Safety) – responsible for your own safety and for those around you • Carry out sanitation duties as required, including shutdown • Remain at workstation until relieved at shift handover • Carry out “on the job” guidance, training, support for colleagues as required • Report and escalate issues on performance or damage/knock outs with a supervisor or manager in a timely manner • Any other reasonable task as requested by your supervisor/manager
Qualifications Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent). Lamb Weston chemical training, H+S, GMP Reach and Counterbalance licence signed off by Lamb Weston rep +PPPT - RPPT Full driving licence Experience Appropriate experience operating a forklift truck. SAP/SCADA experience.
